The Administration Office is responsible for the day to day operations of the Town. The Administration office also serves as the liason to the Town Selectboard as well as the Town's Village and Highway Road Crews. Our staff includes the Town Administrator, Administrative Assistant, Finance Director  Assistant Finance Director and Community Coordinator. 

The Community Development Coordinator (CDC) position performs administrative and organizational work to coordinate and implement the activities of the town.This position works closely with the Town Administrator/Selectboard to develop an annual work plan. The CDC also works closely with various municipal boards, commissions and community groups.
The Town Clerk's Office is responssible for the recording and maintenance of all documents pertaining to land records, birth, death & marriage records as well as issuing licenses for marriage, dogs, liquor; receiving monies for tax payments, voter registration and notary services. Staff include Town Clerk/Treasurer, Assistant Town Clerk/Treasurer, and Administrative Assistant.
The Listers office is responsible for sassessing properties, preparing the grand list & grievance hearings. Staff Includes Listing Coordinator, Lister & Clerical.

The Planning / Zoning Department is responsible for all permitting, zoning, development and planning issues. The office is staffed by the Zoning Administrator, who is also responsible for staffing Planning Council and Development Review Board meetings. The Zoning Administrator also serves as the Town's Health Officer.

The Police Department is responsible for all saftey & emergency activities in the Town. Key staff members include the Chief of Police and 9 Officers.
The Highway & Village Department's  are responsible for maintenance of and improvement to the Town's Roads, sidewalks bridges and culverts.
The Morristown Rescue Squad is a volunteer organization serving the residents of Morristown, and other surrounding communities in Lamoille County.
The Morristown Fire Department provides dedicated paid volunteer service to our community by protecting lives and property. Staff include Fire Chief, 1st & 2nd Assistants, Captain, 1st & 3rd Lieutenants & Engine Captain.
