The Morrisville/Morristown Planning Commission is undertaking the process of reviewing and updating the Morrisville/Morristown Zoning & Subdivision Bylaws. On April 15, 2008, the Planning Commission will review and consider changes to the current boundaries and allowable uses of the Business Office Park (BOP) zoning district, an area generally defined as between Route 100 at the southern end of the Village of Morrisville northwest to Bridge Street, across from CREW/LARC property on Lake Lamoille. This area includes the Bishop Marshall School and the former Union Carbide, now VT Records Center, properties. Additionally, the Commission will consider whether to create a Recreation Special Use (RSU) zoning district, including where it might be located and what uses might be allowed in such a district. Public input on this review is desired and encouraged.

MORRISTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT
The residents and legal voters of the Town of Morristown are notified that an informational meeting will be held at the Morristown Elementary School Library located on Route 15A in the Town of Morristown on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, commencing at seven o’clock (7:00) in the evening (p.m.) local time. The purpose of the informational meeting is to explain the proposed Town and Town School District budgets for fiscal year 2009 that will be voted at the Annual Town Meeting. For more information in advance of this hearing, contact the Selectboard of the Town of Morristown at 888-5147 or the School Superintendent’s Office at 888-4541.
